Registering a domain name and hosting one is frequently mistaken by many people to be the same thing. These are actually 2 different services - the domain address registration is the actual name and nothing more, while the hosted domains feature refers to the amount of already registered domain addresses which you could accommodate within the same hosting account and have website files and e-mails for them. Your websites will function in precisely the same way regardless of whether the domains are registered and hosted at the same place or are registered with company A and pointed to company B. Simply registering a domain name without hosting it will give you ownership, but will not enable you to have a site until you host this domain address in some account so that records for it are created and it starts opening the information from that account.

Hosted Domains in Web Hosting

The web hosting plans we offer permit you to host a different number of domain names. This way, you can choose what plan to get and how much to pay according to your needs. If you decide to host more domain names in the future than the number the current package permits you to, you can quickly upgrade the whole package or keep the same one and only add more slots for hosted domain names. If you want to use the registration services of some other company, you will be able to see the name servers you have to set for your domains so that you can point them to our cloud platform in the Hosted Domains section of the CP on our end. If you want to have everything in 1 place, however, there is no limit on the amount of domain names which you can register/transfer as part of your account regardless of the hosting package which you have chosen. Then you could decide if you'll host any of them or you will forward them to other existing domains.
