A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain name, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial in case you are running some company, for instance. Since you may begin receiving spam messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software so as to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox with ease if you have a web hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet really user-friendly, and it will enable you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with just several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable the feature, clicking on it twice will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this feature activated or if you have active email forwarding.
